USWA

The United States Wrestling Association (USWA) was a professional wrestling promotion based in Memphis, Tennessee, founded in 1989 through the merger of the Continental Wrestling Association and World Class Championship Wrestling. It served as a prominent regional territory and a key developmental partner for the WWF, helping launch the careers of future stars like The Rock before its closure in 1997. Led by Jerry Jarrett and Jerry 'The King' Lawler, the promotion was famous for its gritty storytelling and the prestigious USWA Unified World Heavyweight Championship.
